Trnava

With its many fine churches, and its medieval town walls still intact, the town of Trnava is often referred to as the 'Slovak Rome'.
Region: Trnava Population: 70,000
Trnava Town Center

This nickname seems a little flattering, because apart from the churches and a reasonably interesting museum there is not much else to see in the town.

However, it is still worth a visit to see the different styles of the dozen or so churches the town has to offer.

St. Nicholas' Cathedral, Trnava Plague Column, Trnava University Church, Trnava Town Tower, Trnava
