Trencin

One of the prettiest towns in Western Slovakia and well situated in the Vah-river valley, Trencin is also commonly known as the Slovak town of fashion.

The elongated town square has a great atmosphere, and boasts a number of high quality restaurants, as well as museums, churches and an art gallery.

Overlooking the square, on a rocky hill, is Trencin Castle, which is undoubtedly one of the finest castles in the country.
