Piestany
Situated half way between Trnava and Trencin, is the spa town of Piestany. It is conveniently separated into two distinct parts, the town center and the spa island, by the river Vah.

The town itself has very little to offer, which is quite disappointing seeing as Piestany is the most important spa town in the whole of Slovakia.

However, even if you are not there to take the waters, it is worth visiting the spa island, for a nice relaxing, afternoon walk.
