Liptovsky Mikulas

Not far from both the High and Low Tatras Mountain ranges, the town of Liptovsky Mikulas is well positioned to provide the tourist with a good base to explore the region.
Region: Zilina Population: 34,000
The town itself does not disappoint either, with a theater, an excellent art gallery, and three museums, including the Janko Kral museum, which has an exhibition dedicated to Juraj Janosik, who was executed in the town, in 1713.
