Memorial Home of Franciscus Rakoczi II

Standing in the courtyard of the Executioner's Bastion, this remarkable Oriental style building is well worth a visit. It is basically a replica of the actual house that Rakoczi lived in, while in exile in the Turkish town of Tekirdag.

There is a good exposition here on the life of Rakoczi, as well as the celebrated funeral that took place in Kosice, in 1906, 171 years after his death.
