Jozo Raz is the lead singer of Elan, Slovakia's greatest rock group. Elan are absolutely huge in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and have been playing together since 1970.
In many ways Elan's music is similar to the rock group Queen, as they have a huge collection of original, and varied tracks, which always have superb vocals, harmonies and excellent guitar.
In 1999, Raz was involved in a serious road accident, while driving his bike. It looked almost certain that he would die, and Slovakia would lose another of their heroes in tragic circumstances. Miraculously, Raz lived, and he is now once more leading his beloved group.
